Bishops of Tuscia

A.S.D.

The 9 November 2020in telematic mode due to the COVID19 emergency, the Chess Club was formed by ten founding members"Bishops of Tuscia".We are anAmateur Sports Association (ASD) i.e. an association with sporting purposes that is non-profit making and aims to promote this splendid game in the lower Viterbo area and to spread it among the very young. We are affiliated to the Italian Chess Federation (FSI) and also to theNational Democratic Social Action Organisation (ENDAS).

We are a close-knit group and participate every year in the FSI team championships,as we can count on high-level players, including Thomas Ulrich and Fabrizio Bonaposta with scores around 2,100 ELO points in the FIDE ranking and other players with ELO scores above 1,900 such as Marian Tudor and Francesco Puglia, This group includes excellent players from the Province and the city of Rome, however the largest representation comes from Civita Castellana, Nepi and Castel Sant'Elia, this is the most beautiful novelty, given the rivalry that hovers between these three municipalities in so many contexts, while in the noble game of chess there is a union that will surely lead us to achieve important goals.

"I am delighted with the birth of this Chess club," said the President Fabrizio Paglia - "Our aim will be to spread our passion in our territory, and our commitment will be total to achieve this goal. We are actively collaborating with the three Chess clubs already present in Tuscia with which we organise tournaments in Nepi, Civita Castellana and Castel S.Elia. A special thanks goes to Antonio Cristofari and all the members of our former Chess club. clubscacchisti.enwith whom we experienced wonderful years and participated in several team tournaments in the A2, B and C categories. clubscacchisti.en has helped me tremendously in my chess development".
